I'm confused! Is it electrically adjustable? If so you say you sat in it and it's as low as it can go so can you not adjust the seat up. Lowest to highest setting on my seats must be best part of 2".

No you have not understood
My wife said that she did not like sitting in the Z it was to low I presumed wrongly that she had got the electric seat right up but it was not until I sat in the passenger seat and operated the height adjustment button I found that it was as low as it can go to raised it up so we might no have a problem now but will wait till we go out in it to find out

Another thought on the standard seats. Bought my 1998 Z3 three years ago. Suffored lower back pain the past 20 years, at times unable to walk. After 1 month of ownership as a daily driver, 80 miles round trip to work, with the seat as low as it will go my back pain was gone. No back pain the past three years. It is the lack of thigh support. Most comfortable seat I have had in a car. Agree it is how your body is built.

One of the biggest issues with "old" seats is the foam in the seat part becomes compressed and it's more like sitting on a board than a seat.
I'm having my latest project Z3 seats re padded with new foam and I'll be telling the trimmer I want better cushioning in the lumbar area too.
My old ass needs a little more padding than it did before....;)
