1.9 1998 Z3 with leather seats, they move forward everytime I brake, then slide back on acceleration. Only about an inch or so but what's the cause, and most importantly the fix?
Secondly they seem to have a manual tilt / rake adjustment lever on the side, I pulled it today hoping to get at the speaker in behind but the seat moved about an inch more upright then that was it. Now it won't go back again. I'm not expecting 'two-door saloon access to rear seat' kind of tilt, but it was a bit uninspiring and less so if it should be moving much more. I've sat in the seat, pushed my back against it and pulled the lever but no movement backwards at all. Any ideas?
