Hi folks,

i just had my seats out to give them and the carpets a good clean. I noticed when I took them out only 2/4 plugs were connected on the drivers side, and 2/3 on the passenger side (white and purple). Could anyone fill me in on what the different plugs are for?

Photo is from the drivers side, the small yellow plug on its own is not plugged in, this is on the drivers side only. On both sides the larger black plug does not plug into the seat - is this for heated seats?

thanks! 🙂

As a guess, they could be occupant censer for the airbag, or for heated seats?
I'm sure someone will be along with a correct answer.

Typically you would have the seat power connector, the seat heating connector and the airbag pre tensioner for the seat belt, on the passenger side theres an additional one for the cars that have passenger airbag to detect when someone is on the seat or not. Some Japan imports also have one to detect when the seat belt is inserted or not both sides.
