Hi all,

My drivers seat clicks abit, moves slightly on acceleration and braking. Its not much, more like a click in the seat back and assume thats where its coming from. I know its not the bushes as these have previously been done but it feels like some movement in the reclining mechanism.
Does anyone know if there are any other parts that can be tweaked / tightened to reduce any play in any other moving parts. Its the one thing i hate about a car that i otherwise love.

Thanks

Jon

I had a really weird one where the rails that move back and forth the frame had some play, the rail is pressed in place so I hit it with a hammer to close the gap and all is well

I had this on my current 2.8 and assumed it was the bushes, I removed the seat and found that the bushes where intact, upon closer exhamintion I found that it was the hooks from the base that hold the seat, I fitted spacers to take up the slack

That sounds promising, it does feel like the base moves on the assembly beneath. Can you give me any move details on exactly where to look and the kind of spacer used Sean ?

The seats use a white U shaped piece of plastic from the factory if the base has been removed then its possible they are missing,,
