So I thought I would crack through the jobs on the new purchase starting with fitting seat bushes as it was moving badly under braking, all pretty straight forward to do as instructional videos I had watched on you tube .

after assembly tried seat back and forth and it moved. so refitted then wound the seat right forward to get the rear bolts back in , when I tried to put the seat back it has jammed , motor is trying to move but its having none of it. I managed to get the seat back out and with the wiring connected its doing the same, I can only presume the bush has snagged on the threads.
Problem is I now cant take it apart again to check the bush as I need the seat in the back position to get at the T50 torx bolt , Ive tied running some oil down the threads which hasnt helped.

Anyone come across this before ?

Thanks.

Sadly yes I came across my self, iff I do them again ,il mark a dab off tippex on the threads ,so when you put them back there in the right postion, and should go back and forwards ok,I had to take out the motor cables out from the front off the seat, and wind them back and forth with a cordless drill ,to get access to the seat bolts, and then start all over again,I understand your frustration with those seats being so bloody heavy to lift in and out,but were not the first and defo not the last to do this.
Thanks
Jimmy

I counted the turns and had both 8 turns in, strange how they wound forward fine but wont go back motor just clicks, I will try a cordless drill in the morn see if that will get them going, I need to do the drivers seat next so could do with working out whats going on before I tackle that side.

Yep also I agree Jeffc,I done one seat at a time, and when i fmucked the drivers seat up, I took the passenger seat out and measured correctly, and sanded the new seat bushes down even more so they slotted in without any ease ,and the passenger seat when put back in worked lovely .good luck mate.
Thanks
Jimmy.

Mine was a little after refitting but found out after that over doing up one of the bolts in the middle of the seats to much can slightly bend the threaded bar making it stiff :)

all sorted now, the drill did the trick its as if the motor isnt quite powerful enough. drivers side was 20 mins start to finish! spot on now no more movement there were no bushes at all in either side !
