I am hoping to look at a Z4 3.0i 2005 dark blue with a beige interior. On Autotrader at £6995. 44,000 miles. Can someone give me view on the exact seat colour and whether seat dyes are available in all colours. The guy has sent me a pic of the seat bolster and it could do with some work. Thanks. John.

You can send it a sample for matching to most of the dye providers are the hand brake/gear stick gaiters the same colour or is there a place you can get a sample from ? (Under the seat etc ) .
If you run the chassis number through to get a spec the interior colour should also be listed you can then enquire with its name also .

Google "Scratch Doctor" for a leather restoration kit. There are plenty of places to get them from but I got mine from Scratch Doctor.

I used scuff master by "liquid leather". Good product and easy to use.

I used them as well. I'm restoring my seats at the . moment. My seats are a very light beigh / white and were heavily stained with blk mildew and red dye.. I am now on my 6th coat and they are nearly there. 1 or 2 more coats.
You can also get the seat colour/leather style from the Vin. Plate and they can match from that.

How are you applying it @DirtyDog? 7-8 coats seems a lot.

@Grumpy
I'm using an airbrush only.
I think it's mainly down to the fact that my seats are soo light in colour.and I'm applying quite thin layers as I'm trying to keep the leather texture as much as possible.
My leather is very textured rather than a smooth finish.
I am thinking many thin coats rather than a few thick coats would be better...

You can just see the odd dark shadow still but the seats all.ost there.

I used scuff master liquid leather on my seats, immola red, worked very well. Also got some black for my steering wheel and knob :whistle:
