I would like to order leather dye for my green BMW seats (1997 Z3). Oregon leather, colour is "moosegruen (Q2CA). Have tried "Furniture Clinic" as recommended (who were really quick to respond on a Sunday) and others in the past. Nobody seems able to supply without a sample of the leather to match the colour. This is fair enough, but i'm not at all keen to cut a bit out of a seat for this purpose. The seats are in excellent condition overall, just a little faded in the normal places.
Would anybody be able to help please? Can't think I am the first wishing to do this. Wondering is a "colour reader" for leather is available similar to a paint reader?
Grateful for any thoughts.
Cheers,
Ian

Ian, if you have a look under the seats sometimes there are pieces of leather sticking out beyond the hog rings etc. which you can cut off without being even noticeable. Maybe this could be a solution.

Thanks Tony. If all else fails that is what I need to do, but am seeking another way. I'm surprised none of the suppliers seem to have done this before for moosegruen (Q2CA).

I’m surprised that by now these companies cannot do like such as B&Q do by scanning from your car’s interior.

Ian, I'm using Colourlock leather dye as this is the most popular supplier here in germany. They are able to supply nearly every colour, look at this color chart, it's "BMW - Moosgrün":
Looks like they have a partner in the UK as well, should be worth trying:

I've been using their products for years and the colour match is really perfect, sorry for the bad picture quality.

Regards
Dominik

Last dyes I had off FC I sent a close up photo, they then matched the colour but sent 6 mixing pigments to adjust the base colour if necessary. It was spot on though.

Thank you @DomiMik
As you say, listed on the German site but not the UK one (unless i'm being dim!). Have sent the UK site an enquiry.
This might be a great step forward, thanks again.
