The BMW specialist who is looking after my new purchase has suggested replacing the seatbelts.
If I want to source them where would I look?
Thanks

What is the reason for replacing them?
They think they are worn. I trust their opinion as there is plenty to do on the vehicle but they have said most can wait. They aren’t trying to find jobs. The anchor points look a little past their best and the pax belt is difficult to feed out and is reluctant to retract

My drivers belt was slow to retract, pulling it fully out and some light oil has it working again. With no oil on the belt.
I believe the Forum has a discount with one of the Dealers, not sure which one. I expect the belt will be a dealer only item.

Is it something the dealer still supplies? Mine needs a new gear knob for example but can’t get a genuine one from BMW

Before changing the seat belts I would try this. Wash the webbing with hot water and toilet soap and thorough rinse and dry. When the webbing is totally dry spray the webbing with Silicone spray. Pull the webbing to the full extent, spray the webbing (both sides) and allow to recoil. Unless the webbing is worn and damaged they should respond to this treatment Richard.
The silicone spray helps the webbing wrap around itself as it recoils.

Thank you for this. Will try this first. Not sure what garage saw to make them think replacement. It wasn’t on my long list.

It would be interesting to hear what the issue is which they saw.
