What is actually wrong with the seat belt?My driver seat belt is in poor shape. I did a search but could not find any info on the procedure to replace this. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I saw the lower bolt. Do you pop the small round cover on top of the turret to remove it? I don't have roll bars. I also think there might be a screw on the side of the turret. If true, do I remove that? Thanks.Bolt on side of seat holds lower part of belt, to access the top reel the turret trim behind the seat top will need to come off to get at it for removal and refit of the replacement. If you have roll bars the side your working on will need to come out.
By all means clean the webbing, I use toilet soap and a soft nail brush. When it is thoroughly dry spray liberally with silicone spray and work it in and out. It will be as good as new.Seat Belt drivers side on mine gets to a point where it doesn't retract as quickly as it should.
I believe it needs a clean, i saw on youtube some clips of the belt being fully extended then soaked and scrubbed in soapy water, then dried.
This cleans all the dirt that accumulates on the belt over the years. Will give that a go on mine.
It is partially shredded and doesn't retract properly and is tight across the body. I ordered a good used belt--just need to know how to remove the turret cover to get to the top connection. Thanks. What is actually wrong with the seat belt?
