Daily stopovers at locations offering decent hotel accommodation was the most important requirement!
Driven it all before - outstanding road trip!

Can be done much quicker if you wanted!

Can any one give us an idea how much to allow for the 5 days inc accommodation and fuel ?
Any idea of when this might be happening ?

Im going to put a bit of time in to this over the christmas break, hopefully we can get a date/venue etc. sorted out.
 
Hi All, might well be interested depending on dates as we will be moving to Scotland in the Summer, Borders near Dumfries.

I am very interested in this dependent on dates, I plan on visiting Scotland next year to visit my brother in Forres. This could fit in nicely:)
 
Ok guys and girls, how does the late bank holiday weekend in August suit? 26th to the 29th August. (edited as had the wrong dates….Doh)

The long weekend would give people travelling a chance to get to and from the hotel with a couple of days zedding in between.

The hotel would either be based near me in Killin or maybe a little further west in the Fort William direction.

With these dates in mind if we can over the next few days/weeks get a list of interested people that would be great so that I can start to put some meat on the bones.

Just had a look at our calendar Brian, sorry we can't commit just yet:( but the 29th is Bank Holiday Monday this year. Did you mean to have the cruise on Mon, Tue & Wed? (I think you may have looked at a 2015 calendar;))
 
Dave yes Friday 26th to Monday 29th is the bank holiday we will be putting on a day or two either end for travelling? :)
I'm sure Brian will look into this:thumbsup:
 
Brian this is good for us so no problem with your suggested dates! In fact I have already been on Booking.com and found
accommodation for the Friday 26th for a nights stop on our way up, and another in Fort William for the 27th. We would
be in the area then ready to meet up for the cruise! Both these dates can be cancelled if need be.

Wrong dates Dave, Bank holiday weekend 26 - 29th :)
