NOW SOLD Automotech Mobile Scissor Lift / Tilting Car Lift Ramp Adjustable Width 1500 kg Capacity

Bought new by me 3 months ago to do the underside of my Z3, plus sills, suspension etc and make my life easier which it certainly did. Now for sale as I am splitting up with my partner. I will lose my workshop/garage and will have nowhere to safely store it even though I would like to keep it. With delivery, I paid £498. (£450 plus £48 delivery) It is in as new condition. Comes complete with attachment box for clamping a drill to the frame to use as a motorised winder and additional sections to increase or decrease width to suit different cars and sizes.

Looking for £350 cash on collection. I am located in East Sussex, near Rye. It is heavy so would prefer not to have to arrange a courier. It does dismantle into components so would fit into a small car though you might struggle fitting it into the Z3

Oh, and car not included in the sale.

Automotech Mobile Scissor Lift on eBay. With delivery £500. There is a cheaper one giving a lower lift height. Made the work I did very easy as I have neck and back problems due to age. I offered the equipment here at what I thought was a bargain price with no takers so put it on eBay and it was sold within an hour at full asking price. Now that it's sold, everyone wants it. Funny old world.

Your location likely made it a problem for some Geoff, me included. Happy you got it sold mate, but sorry that you had need to.

Tony.

The main issue against this particular type of lift is that you dont drive over it and then raise the car. With the Z, the front of the car needs to be jacked up by a couple of inches in order to provide adequate clearance underneath. The unit is slid under the car, from the side. The unit is almost as wide as the car which means that you need almost a full car parking space beside your car before you can slide it under. Its also heavy. So, to use this in a single garage it would need to be dismantled and then reassembled beneath the car. To be fair, the access it then gives makes the hassle all worthwhile if you have a lot of work to do and dont or cant lay on your back beneath a car comfortably. For the money, its not a half bad piece of kit and I wouldn't have finished the work on my Z during lockdown if I hadn't bought it. I was lucky to have the space under cover to be able to use it to its full potential. Now, I am back to axle stands and neck ache!
