Does everyone else get the regular 30% off emails from Eurocarparts?
also their sister company Car Parts 4 Less has a regular 12.5% off email?.

However "this weekend only" ECP have a 'Massive' (up to) 60% off, whereas CP4L are only 13% this weekend.

Well I've just done a little digging further, as I have been looking at replacement rear calipers.

Prices per caliper... (exchange costs not factored in)
Car Parts 4 Less.........£113 each..... "this weekend" it's less 13% = £98
Eurocarparts.............. £166 each..... less 'massive' (up to) 60% = £101?? (not £66.... so actually 39%off)

Now I am sure ECP have put the price up for this by around £30 since I last looked, when it was just their usual 30% sale... just like the one they will have next weekend,,....In fact does anyone ever buy from Eurocarparts in the week?
All they do is bump the price up to a ridiculous amount in one store for a month so they can call it a sale,
and get around the rules.
Its MFI all over again

Don't be suckered by 'sales' to get to prices that are actually their true prices, and whatever you do, dont buy during the week.
Also if you need something, check out CP4L first as even if their discount is not as headline grabbing, it's because it doesnt need to be.

Been using carparts4less for years, extremely quick delivery and can't fault them. I only use them when there is an offer though, which at the minute seems to be every other weekend. They are linked to euro car parts as most bits come with their leaflets

They must be owned by the same people... Car parts for less and euro part have identical websites and the same brands... I want a decent water pump, Merle or Borg & Beck... If you want quality aftermarket parts what are the alternatives to these 2 companies?

Edit.. Apologies, "sister company" as pointed out.

For everyone who may be taking this the wrong way. I am not saying don't use them, in fact I do myself and find their parts and so called 'sale' prices good.
My message is "dont buy in the week and check the smaller discounts first"

I just don't like their tactics which are tantamount to deceiving people. Putting prices higher to then offer a weekly 'sale'
It will only be a matter of time before Trading Standards get around to checking this. Tesco were fined for advertising 'sales' where their prices for the sale items lasted longer that the pre-discounted prices, and TS ruled that it was a breach because it was clearly the normal price, and describing as a Sale was deceitful

What is wrong with just having these normal prices all the time.

Plenty of motor factors who supply the trade will also sell to retail customers both in person or online, just check to see which are in your area. You could have a look at GSF to start with.

I had something similar recently, buying a load of parts for my sons car last BH weekend had a basket full of stuff and then decided to price check before I committed to buy, glad I did as I found most parts cheaper elsewhere. Saved a small fortune.

I've just today purchased a new battery for the zed from Gsf. Got an email this morning with 55% off. Went on and had a look. Priced up a battery and with the 55% discount paid a grand total of £24 delivered with 12 month warranty. :)

ECP often bump the prices up before a sale but you can sometimes get bargains from them, it is all a matter of doing the research.

I get the emails frequently but as you say no real sale and actually cheaper if you look elsewhere.
They are not the cheapest even with discount !!

I have never used them as i always find what i am after cheaper else where

Spot on mate, got the service parts for the wife's car in Euro's basket, remembered a similar thread on here and got them at car parts instead, about 5% cheaper, so I git the zed some discs too! 3.0 for my brake upgrade, cheers @Brian H

I bought a new Lion battery from Euro's a year ago, terrible thing, was about £25, they've exchanged it twice already. Guaranteed for 3 years, so effectively a new battery for life as I'll be exchanging every 6 months!

ECP are my last resort rather than my first resort. The pricing policy is a complete joke - never, ever pay the advertised price unless you are desperate as a discount code lurks round the corner and they often work all week/beyond the expiry date anyway.

But my biggest gripe is not the pricing even. If you are going in to pick up there is always a long queue. And the assistants look about as motivated as a turkey with a Christmas lunch invite - slow, slow slow.

I buy most of my parts from ebay from whatever seller is cheap and authentic looking. If I need odds and ends it usually Halfords - never any queue in there! I'm also going to see if I can convince them to give me a trade card due to the large amount of parts I buy (just not necessairly from Halfords...) - the discounts are very good.
