Will be ordering a Royal steering wheel next week. Lots of good feedback.
Probably go for the Perforated leather and Nappa mix with red stitching to match the rest of the interior
Any comments or pictures please

I’ve had 2 steering wheels from Royal’s

This is my one for my Blue Z3 - flat bottom, side thumb indents, patterned leather with blue stitching to match the colour of the Z3.

I looked on their web page mate, no reference to a Z3 wheel, is it the same fitment as the Z4?

He does them, if you ring him and tell him what you want he will quote you. Does the flat bottom for the Z3 as well

This is mine Paul.

I bought a used wheel with audio controls which made it more expensive, but, absolutely well worth the extra investment. No regrets about doing tis. Car is prewired to fit, dead easy job.

Also looks much nicer than the standard wheel. I got £70 for the old one, and could possibly have got more than that.

Tony.

The majority of steering wheels for the Z3 are E36, but a few of the later post facelift models have steering wheels from an E46
Andy yours is a prefacelift so has a single stage airbag. So E36 steering wheel.

I had mine done on my present Z3 M Coupe back in August 2012, it was the first mod I did to the car. When I purchased the car in the June it was immediately identified by myself that the skinny rimmed OEM steering wheel was not to my liking after driving a E46 M3 for nearly 4 years.
Best £115 spent in getting Jack at Royal to do the refurbishment. Transforms the driving experience of the car. Pity they didn't do the flat bottom option when I did mine.
Go for it

I wondered about the flat bottom with the 3 spoke wheel and spoke covers how that would work. Looking at the pictures it seems the flat bottom wheel is just as low it seems the wheel is off circle (if that makes sense) to create the flat edge?

Just ordered M sport Double thick Nappa with perforated sides and red stitching. £170 + £10 delivery plus £100 returnable deposit on old wheel. Should be here in a couple of weeks, may have the wheels back on by then.

You get a lovely tactile feeling from a new Royal steering wheel which you appreciate every time you sit in your car. Together with great looks its a worthwhile expense.
