Hi the roof on my 2010 z4 stuck in the down position. I took it to the local BMW garage and it was a sensor and cost £450 to repair. If the roof has a problem in the future, how do you check which sensor is not working. Also can anybody recommend a decent repairer/garage in the Newcastle upon Tyne area, so I don't have to go to BMW again

You will need a good scanner with BMW software to be able to talk to the control module for the roof.

The Foxwell NT530 with BMW software will do the trick.

There may be others. I'm sure others will be along to tell you which ones they use.

Foxwell or Carly,
Carly is annual subscription these days so long term Foxwell is the cheaper option
