Roof pump

Hi all. Thank you for the add. Hello from Australia. I have a 1998 Z3 and it has the older style roof pump that doesn’t have aplastic reservoir that you can see the level of the hydraulic fluid. Does anyone know how to check the fluid level of these older pumps?
