My ‘97 Z3 2.8 - M52B28 seems to be running rich. Especially after the Scotland run last weekend when I was using nearly double the fuel as @andyglym who has the same engine.

Mine has a flat sport after changing gears around 3500 revs, and power delivery seems uneven.

The car has the M50 manifold swap, cold air intake and an aftermarket exhaust.

So I’m looking for a recommendation for a place in the East Midlands (or near to) that can do a rolling road dyno on what mine is currently doing, then a remap to sort it out.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Tony.

Thanks Tony, that rings a bell. I’ll have to search for the thread.

We had a great day last year at Noble Motorsports, Chesterfield on their rolling road. Would be worth another visit

I'd had the 3.0 less than 48 hrs before she was on the rolling road:eek:. All good though and slightly more horses than standard . Good result

Just rang Noble in Chesterfield and they can do the rolling road but not a custom map. :(

So looking for somewhere else that can do both.

Would anyone else be interested in a Dyno / rolling road session? As I can try and sort something.

Yes. I want to test my changes to see if there are any improvements.

I was just wondering if anyone would fancy a visit to a rolling road / dump. I’m up for this!

I'm up for it should the planet's align. Be interesting to see how many horses have escaped the paddock over the years.

Sounds like the beginning of a plan. I’ll look around and see what I can sort out.

I've been looking at the m50 manifold swap as a future mod for my single vanos as well at some point in the future.

There is a bit of a cheeky way to get a map that will be correct for the car that also involves a further mod as well.

There is a chap on ebay who does various m50 mod bits including a fully remapped ecu that goes with the e39 5 series era higher flow injectors. The "pink injectors'. I think this would probably cost around £150 for a new ecu instead of swap and some new injectors too. Supposedly there is no need for a map as the ecu is already setup for it.

Are you sure you don't have pink injectors already? My 2.8 does but I don't know if they are the original ones.

Mine does too - pretty certain when I looked into this that all m52B28 have pink anyway (which is what was on the E36 M3 engine too I think)

Yeah. You go upto the purple injectors from the 3.0. Got a set in my garage.
