Spent the weekend fitting roll hoops to my Z3 - gratefully purchased in good condition from @mrscalex and am very pleased with the results.

Swapping 20 year old plastic parts from one car onto another 20 year old car - both of which have subtly moved in different environments over the years meant that it was a little fiddly but I spent a lot of time to get it right.

During pics......

Once removed I did find 60p which previous owners had kindly left for me along with about an inch of dust, old hair and various other bits of DNA which were all very thoroughly cleaned

That looks soooo much better. All zeds should of come with these as standard. A job well done

That was the first mod I did when I bought my Zed, swiftly followed by a hard top.

Great work i've always thought the zed to look incomplete without roll hoops, looks as though somethings missing.
A great visual change and saftey to boot ....excellent :scorecard:

Well done. Although I have to say 60p needs some improvement. I had a £1 coin out the latest breaker :)

I must be one of the only people that prefer them without :)

Although the plastic and surround so look a little lost without them

Dave

Ps - good job done though. ,!

Dave, if we all liked the same things, life would be very boring. I love seeing all the different ways we make our Zeds different.

I like the clean hopeless look too but don't fancy relying on the seat for roll over protection!

There was a guy at the Z meeting at Brands on Sunday that was after a set of roll hoops. I didn't catch the guys name but he's got a grey 2.0 Z3
