Could anyone tell me if there is an easy way to find out weather my car has the turrets already in place. I'll be going over to zed shed Midlands to get the hoops sorted at some point and I don't want to get it stripped at Tonys to find out it hasn't got them.
Thanks in advance.

It was generally the earliest models which didn't have the fixings Dave, but the only way to tell for sure will be when you start stripping the plastics off...

If i lift the centre box out will that be enough for me to tell Gaz? I just don't want to run over to Tonys and waste his time to find we can't do the job.

What do you mean by turrets grumps?
I was under the impression there are two "poles" Adrian come up from the chassis that the hoops slot into? I thought these were called turrets?

Mine is a 97 build Dave and didn't have them in (the two steel inner sleeves), @Synclare fitted them with the hoops mate. Probably doesn't help I know.

The two outer ones will be there mate, it's the sleeves for the central part of both hoops that may not be.

They should be there from new I would've thought mate, mine were so I suspect yours would be. Get a flat head and pop off the round blank mate.

Am I getting confused here? The picture above, is that what would be bolted to the chassis and the hoops drop into?

There's two slots/turrets for the hoops to slide into each side, one a funny shaped black bolt on part above, the other is the seat belt upper /outer slot /turret that all zed 3 have.

If you get the whole lot, which was advertised it will be fine, I heard some don't have predrilled holes. But I've never seen a car without!

Take a look at this pic mate. The blue turret which is already on your Zed has one end of the hoops slotted in, the black bit (which you have) is the other slot for the hoops.

As Andy says the outer ones are welded to the car, these are the ones that the seat belt upper mount attach to. The inboard ones are the extra brackets that hold the inboard bit of the hoop. You require the very short setscrews that attach them to the 'parcel shelf' about 14 in all, they are a torx drive. Additionally you need the 6 long setscrews that secure the hoops into the brackets (again torx headed). Without these you can't do if

These in the photo are the dumpy setscrews that attach the black inner brackets ( crappy photo I know)

Forgot, there are also four small nuts, two per bracket that hold the rearmost flange. Studs are already there.
