Is this for when you are drifting on track? I'd guess it would need to be an approved type for that kind of use, and I don't think there are any easily available off the shelf options - but I'll stand to be corrected on that.

@Brian H or @Stormy_be may be able to add some guidance.

No its just for everyday use but want something that would stand a nasty crash. Having no roof or bars scares me abit. Never know what's going to happen.

I'd just go for standard roll hoops.

Ah, sounds like you want the OEM roll bars then. They do come up for sale on here occasionally, otherwise eBay or Gum Tree may be worth a look!

Anything chrome off eBay will have cosmetic effect only, unless they are a set of exceptionally rare AC Schnitzer hoops which are TUV approved.

Are the standard roll hoops up for the job if the car rolled???
Not saying there unsafe cars but like to keep myself and anyone else in the car safe if the worse was to happen.
Plus they look smart

I saw a z3 used for drifting with a roll cage, it doesn't look good for me. I would consider having a hardtop instead fitted.

Hard top still isn't a structural bit of kit. Would crush like a rin can.
I'm after something like this. Safety and looks the part.

hello,

The
standard
rollbars are not bad.
Nevertheless they not up to everything.
For a roll sideways they will do everything you need.
If you would slide forward, there would be the possibility of them bending backwards.....that said, you would need to go fast or slide into something really solid.

If you want to cover that, then a 4point cage would be the solution for that.
custom cages do make them as you want.

Again this doesn't cover everything....going to 6 point cages and even full 8point cages....but these last 2 are not really for normal road cars.
