Our Gary just pointed out that Robbie Coltraine has died. Most younger people will only remember him as Hagrid, but my favourite of his TV shows was "Trains, Planes and Automobiles" a great series. R.I.P Robbie.

I remember that series. I was struck by how much he understood about engineering and how things worked. Another top bloke who will be sadly missed.

Too true Rob. I remember him removing the motor from a Trabant and firing up an old American V8 which drove a Miami air raid siren from the Cuban missile crisis of the 60s.

I seem to remember him doing a tour of UK villages in his old Citroen. I quite liked him in Cracker
He was also in a couple of James Bond films.
