Unfortunately not in my Zed, but I'm currently out on a road trip across western Europe with a friend, and we have a website that we're using as a sort of diary.
I hope it might make an interesting read for someone so feel free to have a browse :)

EDIT
Just a quick note - the website posts newest at the top, so it'll be better viewed if you skip straight to the bottom and read bottom to top :)

Cheers Dave, I will take a butchers.

Tony.

A very enjoyable read Dave, thank you for sharing, and we wish you all a vey happy new year.

Tony.

And a very happy new year to you and all here in the forum!!
We are only on day 5 of 14, maybe 15, and we're trying to update on that website every day so stay tuned to see what sort of trouble we can get into :nailbiting:

Hi Dave, have travelled many of the same roads as you over several vacations in the 80's. Just keep wandering, our attitude was" well we've never been down this road before, let's see what there is to see and do" we were never disappointed no matter which country we were in. Although Holland is by far our favourite, at least it was until we found HT lives there!! lol Enjoy the rest of your journey, but it won't be your last! JIM

Koen, Ypres impressed us a lot! What a beautiful place it is, we could have and should have stayed longer, we were only there for 1 night, but stayed most of the next day to explore :)
Jim, we have our itinerary planned, but agreed before setting off that it was just a sketch so that we can pick and choose where and when to go :)
We've just arrived in Hannover, Germany for the night and we're heading on to Berlin tomorrow!
Dave

I hope you have had time to be at the "last post" memorial (every evening at 20:00 by the "Menenpoort"- Menen gate).
I've been there a couple of times (everytime we get some visitors over) and it still keeps impressing me.

I was dreaming for a tour this year and reading your post, combining with Koen comments and HT infos, it's very likely to be north France, Belgium, Holland, Germany.
Thanks for sharing and wish you a Happy New Year and a nice trip!!!
I'll definitely follow your journey!:)

Koen, we arrived at approx 19:30 so we threw our things into the hotel and went there straight away, as we were told it was a must see, and it was absolutely awesome.
Zeti, that's our itinerary in a nut shell! We went straight to Belgium, then into Netherlands, we're currently in Germany, then going to Luxembourg and France before heading home :D so far I'd highly recommend it as a route.
HT, yes they were, haha! We knew that they were party snack type things, but I wanted to try something I hadn't before, and I'm missing my greasy fried breakfasts so I felt it was a good compromise :D
Dave

Also, en route to Berlin today we spotted a Z3 coupe in a little place called Eichenbarleben, where we had left the main road to hunt down some food that wasn't from a service station!
Dave

If you want good food in Germany try any Gast haus!! The food it terrific no matter which one you stop at. The menus are alwAys posted outside as you probAbly know!! JIM

Many tourists think the restaurants are only for guests staying there but they are open to everyone and prices are usually very reasonable and the beer and wine are, well, German!! JIM

Yeah I noticed that too, I always just wander in to places and see what happens haha, we decided to eat at the same place as yesterday as it was very reasonable and very nice food, but we're still here for half of tomorrow so I will still keep an eye out.
We're heading for Nuremberg tomorrow and will be there for a couple of days.
Dave

You are on a trip you'll never forget my friend.. Enjoy and absorb every minute and have a few steins of beer and glasses of wine for me, please. One of my fav beers was in Luxenbourg but don't recall the name as I think I drank about two dozen one night. Safe driving, JIM

I'll certainly have a few beers for you, but wine doesn't agree with me :( We have a stop off in Luxembourg as well, so you'll have to rack your brains and see if you can remember!!
It's definitely going to be in my top holidays and I won't forget it any time soon!!
Dave

Anyone from Nuremburg on here? That's our next destination!
