I replaced my front brake pads with EBC yellows and they have lasted 6 months - and only two track days.

I know I am heavy on the breaks and at £70 a pair - thinking are they best suited to my needs.

Has anyone tried CARBONE LORRAINE RC5+ BRAKE PADS - seem to have low disc whare - but don't know if they will last longer than EBC Yellows?

Anyone had any experience?

Or recomend an alternative

I know Halfords offer break pads for Life - but unsure on the Brembo pads as they are really cheap?

Yellow lasted that long.......he he, seriously I could get one track day out of the yellows, EBC do a harder grade of pad, I think the next up are the blues. I use the blues in the rear if my car at the mo. Not used Carbon Lorraine but know of a fellow track day driver that does and he highly rated them. I think the cost of the CL pads was almost twice as much as the EBC though. How much cooling do you have in to the front brakes? Excessive heat will eat up the pads.
