s***, That's a real shock.:(

Tony.

RIP, one of the greatest, always thought he was a t**t but god rest his soul

My sentiments exactly Sean. He was an entertainer, and a bloody great darts player. Bet him and Jocky Wilson having a right laugh now.

Tony.

My goodness.......
RIP Eric

All aragant sods but he was the one I followed actively as a kid. Far to young :(

Eric Bristow at 60. Ray Wilkins at 61. When you see your contemporaries falling off the perch it starts to make you realise that there is an end.... Not only that, it was 50 years ago today that the great Jim Clark was killed at Hockenheim. I remember the day. Where the hell have those 50 years gone? :nailbiting:

The more shocking part for me is that one was an athlete for most of his life and one was a 20 pint a day man for most of his life, the athlete only lived a year longer

Ray Wilkins had heart surgery a couple of years ago and a replacement hip too. There's something to be said about keeping fit.

He was a guest presenter on Talksport breakfast show with Alan Brazil. Only last Wednesday they were discussing "life after death" and Alan asked Ray if he was a believer. Ray said "No, when your gone, your gone", bet he didn't realise he was going that quick.

He came across as a really nice bloke and I'm not at the least surprised with the esteem his peers held for him.

Great footballer and true gentleman.

Well said mate.

Tony.
