Just been announced that Pele has passed away at the age of 82.

A sad loss of THE greatest footballer of all times.

A sad day indeed. Very few transcend their sports and generations, Pele was one for sure.

Sad day with his passing. Definitely the King of Football, only player to win three World Cups. What would his football stats have been if the Brazilian Government hadn't banned him from playing overseas until he went to play in the USA late in his career.
