I'm a Colorado based BMW enthusiast. I imported my 1991 toprot Z1 to the USA in 2003. I have taken the Z1 to a number of tours including the BMWVCCCA tours of the east coast in 2004 and Colorado tour in 2006. I've been restoring vintage BMW's for a long time ! I completed the restoration of an ex TransAm 1965 BMW 1800 TiSA last year and participated in the Monterey races last year that featured BMW . I now have a Facebook page for various car ramblings at "1017 Arch Racing and Restoration " as well as my personal page .

Hi Rick, welcome to the forum! I'm guessing you still own the Z1?

The Z1 still lives a happy and largely pampered life here in Colorado! Interestingly , Colorado has been the epicenter of US Z1 ownership. Mark Hall, Goetz Pfafflin, Steve Diamond and the late collector Bill Young have had /or own Z1s'. We are blessed with 300 days of sunshine annually and wonderful mountain roads ( though we've had some wildfire and hail issues periodically).
