Hello.
Richard Bull here (from Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.)
Our 2.2, 'Y-reg' Z3 is actually owned by and registered to my wife Carol and has been with us for more than 20 years.
It is the only car that Carol has ever said she liked when we've been driving down the motorway!
Fortunately for me, the Z3 has always been on my 'I'd really like one" list.
So, two very happy Z3 drivers over a long period.
I've requested to join your organisation as we have a problem with the convertible hood.
It won't open!
Opening has been spasmodic for a couple of years, but now it seems to be permanently closed.
I've done quite a bit of internet research which seems to steer me towards a hydraulics fault.
I've checked the wiring as best I can and it all seems to be secure.
I 'think' the fluid tank is empty, but can't be sure as my movements are restricted for health reasons.
Can it be topped up/re-filled, or do I have to buy a new one (at around £200 plus labour)?
I would appreciate any help/guidance that anyone can offer.
Thanking you in anticipation.
