And Boeing .... a little more critical than a phone!Just ask Samsung about batteries and fire... they have a fair bit of experience with that!

No brake lights as he hit the corner as far as I could tell. So,Just watched a clip of the accident on Grand Tour Nation on FB. As Martin Brundle would say "he ran out of talent and went straight to the scene of the accident". Big lock-up approaching a tight left hander and over the edge he went![]()
I'd say too fast in and just ran out of talent to react to and navigate the pending accident. I wonder if he said "that's not gone well"No brake lights as he hit the corner as far as I could tell. So,
1. Did Hammond simply not think that going into a left hand bend up hill with the camber against him that braking to scrub off a few mph might be a good idea, or,
2. The brakes themselves (almost certainly regenerative braking) failed, or,
3. The engineers only put a wooden block on the accerator pedal and his little left leg couldn't press the brake pedal.

I think at that point he's putting on his bike clipsJust watched it frame by frame. No steering input as he approaches the bend and he's already heading off the road when the skid marks appear. At that point there's no way back - it's always going to try and swap ends.

I'd say. The RPM and engine noise tells you where you are in the greater scheme of things. It's as you say, a feel thing.Guess one of the problems is so little noise from the car. We all use the engine tone and level as one of our sensory inputs to compute what's going on. I wonder if that's one of the factors?
So, the moral of the story is to take a youngster with you to make the car noises. Brrmm brrmmI'd say. The RPM and engine noise tells you where you are in the greater scheme of things. It's as you say, a feel thing.
Or the C-in-C "Waaaaaaaaah, FFS slow down"So, the moral of the story is to take a youngster with you to make the car noises. Brrmm brrmm![]()
You could say that but I can't possibly commentOr the C-in-C "Waaaaaaaaah, FFS slow down"![]()
