Yep that’s right!!!!, the coupe “THINKS” it’s retired with very little use in the last 9wks. That’s only when you consider how hard it worked in its previous life Acker @Lee.

It now sits in lockup garage for days at a time resting up after some short blasts around the local area, not unnoticed by the local boys in blue who had a quick look over it parked up in the local park. Obviously noticed the known reg, I just looked on from a distance. Obviously liked it cos they never put anything under the wiper blades.=)).
Here’s what’s been done to try make it more at home here in Hemel.
First on the list was a trip to the local gater rim protector fitters in Dunstable (after looking at the receipt for the wheels @Lee had purchased) where I had black fitted (hammered) into place. Now I don’t have to worry so much when getting close to the kerbs, well I do but at £150 its better than having to replace a wheel or two. Gaters don’t do anything for the looks but believe in my case are essential.

Still with the wheels I decided I needed a spare wheel as was uncomfortable with the thought of waiting for hrs for recovery then having to get towed maybe. So off to search. General concensus was the E46 17in spare with 125/80/17 tyre plus a scissor jack was needed so hunt for used to save some cash. £56 paid for this example which needed some tlc before I would even consider handling it in decent clothes. Still nearly as much room in the boot as a Z3 so no concerns about W/E away. (In deep SH.. !!! Wife’s fav bath towel)

Was now happy enough to take a trip to Leicester to show my younger mate @t-tony who was a little but not a lot impressed.
The boss thought the carpets needed updating and bought me black with blue leather edge which go with the small amount of blue piping I did inside.

Engine bay next along with drivers windshield wiper and headlight lens scratches.Whole day on these two jobs with w/s scratch taking 2hrs of heavy pressure and a sore shoulder resulting in 95% result.

Not happy with w/s os h/l so another day is on the cards.
Spent hrs on internet looking for bits that would enhance the looks of this great looking coupe but may have to give up as apart from twin exhaust and “M” bumper there just isn’t in my view anything worth doing apart from maybe a few small subtle ones, twin exhaust will only mimick M so maybe not, as with the front bumper.
So having needed paint and small repair on front bumper I searched and found this OEM unused one and will paint and change it over in the new year, it was a bargain.

Just knew someone would have to bring it up Dave. So glad @Lee picked the best imo that’s suited to a road gong coupe, saved me putting this one on..

It’s only a matter of time. It’s not like you to chicken out on spoilers!

It is actually functional too...

Horses for courses Dino, that spoiler looks the dogs but for normal road use/occasional track even for me would be OTT. Wouldn’t mind seeing it in the flesh on that white Z.
