Restoration z3 1997

My Z3 is a 1997 2.8 wide body with a soft top the main colour is the usual BMW blue. I Purchase it 12 years ago. It has been stored for the last 5 years in my garage. I have decided to restore it to put it back on the road.
I will need help and advice along the way so I am looking forward to speaking to experts on this forum.

Hello welcome to the forum. I'm doing a similar job on one of my Z3's, a '98 2.8. It's currently on stands in my garage and I've started to strip the rear end. I'm currently held up by a flare up of my osteoarthritis. I'm doing a full underbody refresh plus new front wings and sills. The concrete floor in my garage is not particularly inviting in my current condition.

Well a Blue 2.8 arrived today , as in Wheeler Dealer tradition, on a trailer!!!! This seem a good idea when I saw it advertised, and what it had failed its MOT on didnt seem too daunting.... But ....not good !!! Far more going on with it than I was led to believe :arghh: So....initial...
