I've decided to tackle replacing the oil filter housing gasket (full kit) and all the belts on my recently purchased Z3 (shop wanted $1K for the job) and wanted to see 1) who has done this job before, 2) where you got your parts (currently looking at FCP Euro and Pelican), and 3) if you have any tips or links.
TIA!

Remove drive belts and alternator and airbox to access the oil filter to engine block bolts clean mating surface then install gasket and torque bolts up refit alternator belts and airbox, just spanner job and very DIY. Garage quote you had was robbery

Very good suggestion Mick. I still do that. Before camera phones it was a pen and a fag packet.

That’s nothing - some sharks quoted a guy £2000 on an M43 1.8. Head off, skim, front timing cover, ‘big job mate’. I fixed it for £100 plus parts - oil filter housing gaskets and cam cover. Sorted.
