Hi I was quoted 70 for a replacement key from my local dealership, I forgot to ask about the alarm. Will the new key have a button for the alarm system? Or will I have to source a replacement brick fob and program it?

Hi Paul, January this year, I bought a new key for my 1998 Z3. It cost £61 from Vertu at Boldon. (Coopers)
This was just for the coded key, as per the original.
I believe to operate the alarm system you will have to get a seperate fob.

You can buy the brick alarm on eBay, but have a good look as some are priced much more than others.
