Refurbishing wheels

Looking at a car later which if I buy will need the wheels refurbed. They are like style 108s which have a ring of studs around the outside. It strikes me that with the studs the wheels will be difficult and therefore costly to do. Anyone had wheels of this type refurbed please. Thanks. John

They are a 2 piece wheels John, and to get the best from a refurb they need the bolts removing and broken in to two parts. Split rims are more costly to refurb due to the extra work involved in splitting them.

You end up with the barrel which looks like this

Yes, he did them himself and it was a fair bit of work if I recall.
Ye I had a quick look but couldn't find the posts. He said they were difficult to do. They are lovely wheels though them 108's. Worth the effort IMHO.
