Hi All,

As some of you may well know I have for some time been providing a refurbed cam cover service for the S50 engine Z3M owners amongst us to which many people have been very pleased with. I can now offer this service to the 1.9 M43 owners on the forum having just successfully completed one for member @Olliebeak which he is really pleased with and certainly sets off the engine bay as can be seen in the pics below.

If you are interested in having your cam cover refurbed please do contact me by PM and we can discuss the finer points. Please note however I only have one cover to swapout at the moment but if this proves popular I do intend to expand the portfolio.

Pricing is £60 plus £15 P&P, a £60 deposit is also required which will be refunded upon receipt of your old cam cover. Buyer is also responsible for courier fees back to me.

Please also note all you M44 owners I also have one in stock which can be arranged and also if required the inlet manifold is available which would look well with the BMW logo polished up. Please contact me if interested.

UPDATE!

M44 cam cover and also inlet manifold now available to order. Price is £60 for cam cover or £100 for cam cover and inlet plenum. Postage is £15 and a refundable deposit of £60 for cam cover only or £100 for both. Please feel free to PM me to discuss further.

It was my cam cover that Aceman refurbished and I must say the quality of the work is second to none and it has transformed my engine bay. I wish that I had discovered this service earlier it would have saved hours attempting to polish my old alloy cover using Mothers Mag Polish.
Highly recommended.

Do you have a picture of the M44 cam cover?

Hi, sorry for the late reply.

I don’t have one finished at the moment as I was gauging interest but if this something you are interested in I will get one completed for people to view. May I ask if you would be interested in a matching inlet manifold too?

I'm loving the new pics.
I am having my sill covers and wings replaced at the mo, but this is something I would definitely be interested in, in the near future.

I had my S50 Z3M cover and plenum refurbished by Aceman.
Top job-top man, really makes a huge difference to the engine bay appearance.
Highly Recommended.

I can recommend the standard of work on the cover and chamber which was a straightforward swap and has made a huge difference to my engine bay. The cam cover gasket can be tricky to get the two half moon rubber bits in their corresponding cutouts at the back but perseverance will get you there. As a mater of interest, are other colours available? The reason I ask is that in retrospect, because my car is black, the black powder coating is a bit lost in my engine bay and if I did it again, I might explore a colour?

Hi Geoff,

Yes other colours are available from original silver finish but obviously it would be easier to clean rather than bare metal to some extreme colours for the adventurous. Anybody wishing a change of colour just contact me to discuss.
