With the rain setting in and bad weather on its way, couple of jobs left to do before getting the Zed back on the road in spring.
17+ years showing its toll on the interior door pull and opener. Dir d wrap the door pull when tried wrapping the dash which has been taken off and replaced with Leather. So this left the pull cover and lever looking marked and tired. The door trim is available at a price but the lever is bonded on to the door card.
So took the door cards off (easy job as been in there before) removed the pull trim and masked the rest of the door card off to paint the lever, painting the pull trim separate.
Should have taken a before picture, only have the one when i did the wrap. Not exactly the original grey finish but like the end result.

Original with wrap

Pleased with the look and finish from a rattle can. Finished off with cleaning the door card and leather. Ready to re fit when it stops raining and i replace the regulator clips.

They look very nice Paul. I have got a couple of jobs in mind when cold wet days clear off, first is to paint the inner edges of the front wings as the factory finish, or lack of, is terrible. Yours looks “finished” so that is on the list. Strangely I have been looking at the door pulls on mine too, lastly when I got home from the Post Office at lunchtime. I’m thinking of going the other way and using “chrome” finish spray as mine has the chrome interior. Not decided yet.

What kind of paint did you use Paul, was it just ordinary rattle can stuff?
