Yippee... NOT. The lightest of coverings is enough to send the UK back to the dark ages. As if my daughter isn't going to lose enough school days this year with teachers strikes...

A couple of years ago I had to write off December because of the snow, it was not because I could not get to my customers, it was because they were not open! Running a small business it is hard to take that sort of hit financially. I love the snow but some people do not even try when the white stuff falls out of the sky, be prepared and take it steady.
Rant over :)

I don't think the winter will be that cold.

We don't seem to have the bad ones we used to.

my memories of childhood were of hotter summers and colder winters...seems the seasons have coalesced into one long greyish season that's sometimes slightly warm and dry and sometimes colder and wetter...

blinkin global warming...we never get the benefits of anything in this country!

Oh no, looks like we will need to brace our self

HERE

The winter before last, we had record snowfall in south Jersey. As a result, I bough a state of the art snow shovel and an electric start snow blower. Last winter it hardly snowed at all. Go figure. Maybe the curse of the new equipment will last into this winter.
