Just purchased my 2nd z3. The first one was a 2.8l back in 2008 and it was trouble free but was sold to a friend who had admired it for many years. I can’t say I regretted the sale as it provided her with 60,000 miles of trouble free motoring until her passing. In recent years I contemplated many other cars but have always been drawn back to the Z3. In January I treated myself to a 3.0L 2000 model. So far I have fitted a new heater resistor and last week a new fuel pump. I intend to do more work on it over the coming months. Generally it is in good condition with 50K on the clock and a good history file. Hope to meet up with other owners in the future.
