hi, as the title may suggest i have managed to bugger up my rear window zip. firstly the bit you pull broke then the hoop that it goes through! anyone know what size it is?

I stole one off an old sports bag, then used pliers to gently squeeze the rear end to get it to work. Once it was sized it worked great.

managed to get a sip pull from my local sewing shop all to no avail, the window is about 1/4 smaller than the last one which is a pain in the a##se
Had the same problem. Cut zips of bags and various things, all to no avail. Tried crimping a couple of zips but they all broke during refitting the screen. Ended up knackering the screen zip thread and had to have a new screen 
Advise buying a BMW screen zip from Gernany or getting a pro to do it.
