Rear window trim

Afternoon chaps,just took the hard top off after 18 months and the rear soft top window trim has become detached over approximately 6”.
Has anyone found a way of successfully getting it to stay on the canvas or do I need a new plastic window?
Would rather not as the last one I put on a previous 2.8 cost me £100 from BMW they now seem to be asking around £350 which seems a bit steep to me!

I've used this with some success to glue my trim back on..Rather than squeezing it directly out of the tube onto the hood and trim I've put it onto an applicator such as a small screwdriver or match ..then onto the hood as it gives far better control and stops it going everywhere!

Thanks Ade will give it a try, found my old hot glue gun which stuck to the fabric but the rim popped off after 15 minutes!

This stuff remains flexible so with the whole rear hood and window flexing when it's put up and down it's in with a chance.. My trim is still attached a year later so it's worth a go.. Just make sure you go very sparingly with it so it doesn't go everywhere and leak onto the canvas!

Just for info, since I no longer have a Z but you never know what future brings, is the trim so important for waterproofing the window? Cant one just seal the fabric on the plastic with some sort of material and call it fixed?

Ordered the above recommended adhesive, no idea if it’s purely cosmetic or if it plays a part in sealing the window, certainly hope not I’m having enough problems finding all the other areas of water ingress!

My conclusion was that it was cosmetic on mine to tuck the edging of the hood material into for neatness

I'm having the same problem with the canvas hood coming untucked from the upper edge of the plastic window trim and wonder how you guys are getting on with the Stormsure adhesive as a suitable fix? I've no evidence of a water leak to the inside so assume it's just cosmetic as well.
However, from what you see, will this stuff complcate things if a replacement window is ever needed - i.e. I assume it will clean off okay if required.

I’ve used 3M double sided tape, it’s held with a few folds of the roof, I’ll see how it holds in the long term.

Stormshure is good stuff! When I bought my Z3 in 2018 a few of the stitches along the top sides and around the window were broken but they still retained their tension. I masked these complete lines of stitching and applied Stormshure. I've had no more problems since and yes it is noticeable but to my mind acceptable perhaps not to the purists out there but I am on the "budget" end of Z ing!

Don't forget to put the partially used tube in the freezer as per the instructions.

Thanks for everyone's input. I'm going to give Stormsure a try and follow the advice of how to apply it without making a mess and storing it for future uses.
I can't understand why the hood has this year decided to come adrift. Why has it not come adrift previously? Anyhow, I'll glue it back in and hopefully tht will fix it.
