My dads rear window developed a split but luckily for us we had his old roof sat in the garage. Our problem now is the zip kits we have used. We have tried two and the zips appear useless looks like they should be used on you flys. So does anyone have either a new rear window we can try or a stronger zip designed for the job?

Any help would be great, the hardtop don't look cool with all this sun.

Hi @Lee I have a new window but I don't know if Sean has picked up my stuff from the PO of my first car yet. Let me know if you want to try it. He's in Egham so not too far away! Maybe Andy has one lying round, even closer. HTH JIM

@Brian H that would be brilliant thanks, looking to exhaust all the cheaper options first. Is it the larger more durable zip? I will PM you my address.

@oldcarman thanks mate I will see how this zip helps me and go from there.

Big thank you to @Brian H for sending me the real zip to fit the a z3 rear window. It was done in minutes with the right zip.

Note: Don't buy the cheap kits off ebay because they don't hold the right zip for the job. (Sub £10 are naff)

The correct zip is the silver one, see how much more sturdy it is.
