Rear view mirror

Hi everyone, I recently got a 1999 1.9 z3 it's had the original rear view mirror removed so the alarm and remote central locking no longer work, any ideas on fitting a donor one.

Does your zed definitely have remote locking and alarm ? My 99 1.9 doesn't have either has a standard mirror
Does your key have the open and close buttons on it .

Hi Stevo yes the key has remote locking buttons, my nephew had the car b4 me and the mirror dropped off the windscreen, not knowing much about cars he just cut the wires off and stuck a new mirror on unfortunately he then binned the old mirror.

Hi Stevo yes the key has remote locking buttons, my nephew had the car b4 me and the mirror dropped off the windscreen, not knowing much about cars he just cut the wires off and stuck a new mirror on unfortunately he then binned the old mirror.

Hi based in Dewsbury West Yorkshire, is it possible for the mirror to work with my key?

I would have thought it would need coding if the wires were cut and mirror binned.

But if you want a mirror to replace what would have been fitted originally then I can help with that.

Hi spurs fan how much are you asking for the mirror? Car is going in my local garage in the next couple of weeks so Will ask there opinion on if the mirror can be changed.
