I fitted an oblong usb socket with an integral voltmeter display in a spare position I had on the front centre console tapping into the power cable for the Cig lighter. Found this one on ebay listed you may have to trim the switch panel to get it fitted. Run a power and ground wire along the centre to tap into the Cig lighter. This one has a cover as protection against rain.

Picture of what I fitted to mine

Good to know that it actually works I’m happy to disable my cig lighter as I don’t have a need to use it haha

Loads of round type usb with voltmeter on ebay so if you want to replace the cig lighter you should find a suitable one with the rubber flap cover, I fitted one in the dash on my Z4

Probably not, did it several years ago. Imagine a Z3 cigarette lighter hole with one of these in it.
There are similar sockets out there nowadays with built-in voltmeters that I would fit these days, on account of numbers are always good.

Edit: And then someone else says much the same thing while I was typing. Damn.

Yeah only want it to be charging my phone don’t need it for the radio or anything that is why I thought on the rear switch panel as it would look clean

Yeah couple options I could use through the cigarette lighter which would probably be the easy option but would ideally want in my rear switch panel if I can
