Hi guys
My Roadsters been off the road for around 3 yrs, largely due to me being out the UK for various reasons!
Any how, want to get it back on the road, need to replace both the rear springs as one is broken, before getting MOT of course!
Should I get from BMW or are there some better options for an M Roadster?
Thought/ideas would be much appreciated, Cheers, Matt

Hi Matt. I'm literally looking for exactly the same at the moment. I want to replace the shocks and springs on my Z3MR S54 and I'm getting all sorts of conflicting messages. Looking at Bilstein B6/B8 and from what I can see, B8's should be paired with Z3M as the ride is lower than standard. Now for springs....if I want to slightly lower again, what options do we have? H&R I heard are hard on ride and I've heard that Eibach don't fit although manufacturers are selling still?

BMW still stock the rears I think they're having supply issues with the front springs. This was the info I got from them end of June.

If your not going to changed shocks than stick with OE...
Absolutely no point in changing just the rears for say H&R as the geometry will be out...and the car will push out in the corners....in a weird way..!!
That's what I found in nine anyway....50 miles later had the fronts upgraded to H&R as well.

How do you find the H&R? Is the ride much harder?

No....but I do have the B8s on as well....
Be warned though if you go down the B8s and H&R route you better make shure your fillings are in good order..!!
At a good pace there fantastic.....but toodling down a B road behind a Honda Jazz... You'll wish you'd have stuck with OE.
