Rear speakers, no bass

Hi all
1.9 98 no sub.
I changed my rear speakers to 5.25s a couple of years ago, but they where cheaper than my front. Infinity reference, which are great.
Finally bought some matching speakers for the rear, fitted them today and still no bass.
Is there a high pass filter somewhere in the loom that I've missed. It definitely cuts out below 2/400 Hz.
Any ideas?

Do you have the amp on the left front speaker? It is also the crossover that splits the speakers out.

No amp, so I wonder if the crossover/ cap is in line somewhere?

I think I may just run new lines to the head. Won't be too tricky and I will rule one thing out

Double checked no amp in the passenger foot well and no caps behind the speakers or head.

Great thanks. I think it may have been modded. Going to try wiring direct
