Although my rear screen doesn't leak it is very discoloured around the edges, looks like it's previously been glued and the beading has started to become detached.

So my question is, is the plastic beading an integral part of the roof or is it attached to the replacement plastic screen?

The rest of the roof fabric is fine so I'm wondering if I can sort the issues with a replacement screen or if I need to bite the bullet and get in the queue for a replacement roof from Swansea

The edge of the fabric flap is tucked under the beading. The beading is attached to the window. If you bought a new window it would have new beading. But the beading is always too small for the fabric to stay under which is why people try to glue it and, often, make a mess.

If you look under the edge of the fabric you'd see a zip. Zipping in a new window should be easy. I did it. But some people do have a problem doing it. On the window that I got I'm sure the beading was even smaller than the old one and the the fabric never got close to being tucked under. I gave up trying. Not prepared to try glueing it.
