BMW should be ashamed of themselves. The Z3 was NOT a cheap car but in many ways it was cheaply built. Case in point, the plastic used surrounding the roll over bars: I've had chocolate chip cookies that held up better under pressure. So to my question. How does one remove the roll over bars. Every video I've seen shows a Z3 with some sort of hatch that can be removed to get to the outlying nuts. My version does not have this feature so the only way to get inside is to break thru the plastic pieces that surround the outside post of each bar.
Any one have any ideas?
Also where can one get replacements for the rear deck, preferably the one with the drawer in front and the compartment on top and the two side pieces that form the "shoulder" around the outside of the bar AND that have that little hatch which allows access to the nuts.
