Hi,

Looking to get a rear camera for new stereo head unit that's on the way.

Anyone got any suggestions on which, or where and how to fit?

I see there are some wireless ones that are built into replacement number plate light. Anyone had any experience of these?
(Although, didn't see the Z3 one - is lamp unit same as used on other models?)

For a wired one, what is the best way to run the cable and where to mount?

Thanks

I originally had one of those types, though not wireless, but the number plate lighting is affected and looks different on each side, so I changed it to one of these and mounted it centrally between the lights. It does mean drilling a hole in the bumper and the bumper metal bar behind.

the wiring went through the back of the boot floor with a grommet, then around the battery side, up the back of the rear bulk head. I removed a rear speaker to pull it through, then followed the plastics underneath down by the door pillar and sill, up by the front speaker and under the dash to the head unit.

Did you need to get into that back of the bumper or take it off?
I was wondering if the kind with a bolt on the back, would be tricky to fit with a view you getting behind to tighten it. I saw yours just push clipped into a larger hole.
