Rear camber and toe adjustment kit - Really???

I was scanning the interweb :) and found this on fleabay from an aussie seller. I find it hard to believe so I asked the question. Below is the conversation and the link. What do you guys think about this? Is it Voodoo or for real?

Eccentric bushes will in theory work, an awful lot of work to get 1 degree of movement though, I hear the problem with these types of bushes is getting them to stay in place once set.

I belive the toe is related to the camber but how much I'm not sure.

Another solution is to rotate tyres on the rim so inside become outside (can only be done with tyres that do not have an outside marker).

In simple terms the bush nearest the centre controls caster, the bush nearest the outside controls camber albeit they both play a part in the overall setup.

Or drive round corners really fast to lean on the outer edge :)

To be done properly it looks like the Ireland Engineering kit is 'real deal' but 2 kits are needed to control both camber and toe. It does involve pulling the rear end to bits though and all of that adds up to $$$$. I will see how the tire wear goes over time. I just bought 2 x new rears as the other one's were worn out just on the inside and failed inspection. I also run them at 34 psi not 32. Flipping the tires will be done if I can.

The thing is unless you do mega miles the decrease in tyre wear will take a long time offset the cost. I wonder what the change in feel to the handling would be though?

Something to do when you eventually need to do the rear beam bushes and drop the subframe for that job.

Powerflex i believe do the kit its more appears when looking at the compact rather than the zed but it does cross match if you look as the rear end is from reading the same.
The bushes come with a tool and have an accentric cam for adjustment.
I can understand why there may be rotation on the bush in time but on set up correct could be marked.
Gives camber and toe +/- 1°

@Dino D I do over 300 k per week as she is my daily driver. It is going to be interesting to see the tire wear I get and those results will help to determine if I go the whole hog. BTW suitable tires here are about $240 per tire [or much more] or about GBP130. I will look into dropping the subframe - sounds nasty!

Hey @Antm72 have a look at the link above. The poweflex are really expensive compared to the Australian kit! Our kit also promises same results.

I used the Whiteline adjustable bushes on mine, just had a look and they don't seem to be listed any more. With the inner bush all the way up and the outer all the way down (if you see what I mean) there's hardly any negative camber any more, which should help. Mine's on the m-sport suspension, so sits lower than some to start with, and was losing the inner edge of the tyres too fast for my liking. I notice that on the SuperPro website it says they can be fitted in 2hrs :wideyed:=))

2hrs..... with all the bits on the bench to start with you may stand a chance :). :)

Unless they just mean fitting the bushes, I can see that you could do that easily. Took me damn nearly two hours to cut through the exhaust, then the handbrake cables wouldn't come out of the tubes that take them inside the car, then it started raining, then moan moan moan
PS The adjustable eccentric bushes have been in there a few weeks now, no sign of them rotating so far. And there may well have been some spirited driving going on at some point. On my own private test-track, obviously.:D
