Went to sign a student up in the workplace today for his apprenticeship. Jammy sod only got a placement in a specialist garage dealing in Aston Martin and Ferrari. Had a good chin wag with the time served AM technicians and a right good nosey around, some mega stuff and mega money. Best part is I get to go and visit regularly as an assessor to monitor his progression and carry out observations on him performing various tasks as evidence for the requirements of the portfolio of evidence :D:D

He should do well as he has a bit of nous about him, he's well thought of. Another place I visit is a small family business dealing in Land Rover. They treat the apprentice there as one of the family and he has to text to let them know he's home safely after the days work - how nice is that ! I was there yesterday and made very welcome.

Can you tell them you have to assess the young lad's driving ability in the cars he's working on ?.

I think anything of that level will come with a price Mike. I had a Jag XJR 4.0 supercharged about 10 years ago. Bloody stunning car but not a cheap toy to run.

Lucky git.
An old friend of mine, his father knew the right people, got him into an Aston martin apprenticeship the week after leaving school. Turned heads and got straight into sales when he finished. Won awards in that and now hes salesmanager at the new Aston showroom in newcastle. Tell him to work his ass off and he can get far very quick!

It was just not reliable, more in the garage than out, just like his Lotus Evora.
He has now gone Jag.
Well hopefully he will have a better time with that mate.

He really can't stay away from British cars can't he :ymdevil:
No, but he has got a Merc ML for the winter months but his other half has an under powered Freelander that has also spent quite a bit of time going backwards and forwards to the garage.
