With just 740 units produced for U.S. customers, the BMW 1M models are hard to come by. Essentially there were 739 “baby-Ms” sold to customers and one Valencia Orange used as a pace car at 24 hr of Daytona. A few of those have already been totaled so the overall number should be slightly lower by now and there are very few cases when the original owners are parting ways with one of the best BMW M cars ever built.
One of those did end up on eBay though. A 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe in Black from Prestige BMW in New Jersey is up for sale and at midnight April 19th, the reserve price has not beet met. The current bid is $50,101.
Here is the current description as seen on the BMW dealership ad:
Harman Kardon surround sound, LIMITED EDITION-, and Xenon headlights. 6spd manual! Spotless One-Owner! Imagine yourself behind the wheel of this gorgeous 2011 BMW 1 Series M. This is a great one-owner 1 Series M and it’s ready for you to take home today. No sordid history on this one-owner gem.
The odometer shows 7,031 miles which is really appealing after nearly two years of ownership. Judging by the photos posted on eBay the 1M is in pristine condition and the black on black combination is stunning.
According to BMW of North America, the number one color choice for U.S. customers was Valencia Orange, followed by Alpine White and Black Sapphire.
The BMW 1 Series M Coupe had a base price of $47,010 and most of the used ones are selling above the original price.
