RAF Waddington

The 2015 RAF Waddington International Air Show is cancelled due to repairs to the runway. The runway was originally built before WW2.
No word yet as to wether it will return in 2016.

I am not going but thought how can they do that at such short notice.

It's similar to living near an airport this weekend, nearly constant noise of jet engines. If the clouds clear I might get some photo's.

Surely you have to be low to make a landing, otherwise it is called a flight?

On another note I think closing the runway to make repairs is pretty fundamental, and safe landings is higher on their agenda than giving spectators a day out, just a thought.........
